Sitting here crying!
(26 Posts)All afternoon now, I've welled up at the mearest thing. The Quaker Oats adverts had me going earlier and then it was the KFC advert. In the end I switched off the telly. Then the dog looked a bit sad and I felt myself welling up. I was all teary earlier when I dropped dd off for her afternoon session at nursery just because she looked all happy and confident in the playgroud. It's mad! Please tell me I'm not the only crying at the drop of a hat at the moment. Currently 30 weeks and I hope it's a passing phase rather than something that will carry on until baby is here!
Yes!!!
I flew off the handle at Oh yesterday over something that could have easily been sorted, spent the day (at work!) close to tears, then crying at home for hours (cried at Broadchurch), cried in the bath, cried in bed.
I often also wake up crying and then cry because I don't know why I am crying!
OH thinks I have issues ha
17+4 over here, and a lot of rivers to cry yet!
Message withdrawn at poster's request.
The HSBC ad with the pink ladies makes me cry every time I see it.
Oh dear now I'm crying because I'm not the only one crying. I seriously need to get a grip here.
I cried because Tesco was all out of strawberry milkshake.... don't even get me started on baby Oleg! My bf keeps saying 'bye bye aunty sergei' to me because he finds it amusing that I well up.
Instead of 'reasons why my kid is crying' they should do a 'reason why a pregnant woman is crying'
This has happened to me off and on in this pregnancy.
When I was pregnant with DS I cried at the Dolmio pasta advert (with the weird stereotyped Italian puppets)
At a bird alone in the back garden because 'birds mate for life' and it looked old and lonely.
And because there might not be a cat heaven- I am an atheist and broke down randomly whilst cooking dinner to such a degree DP came running in thinking I was hurt before backing away slowly
Pregnant with DC2 now and got a bit emotional at toddler group last week when DS was being, er, energetic but not quite at crazy levels yet!
I can't sing along to anything, singing makes me cry? Also children being happy, children being sad, adverts...
Do NOT watch Rhod Gilbert's work experience on BBCiplayer, the one where he's a vet. That had me going for a week.
God the new KFC ad had me in floods and I want to eat fried chicken for tea!
I cried last week because a friend had posted a meme of a baby bat being stroked and it looked like it was hurting it!
I'm 33 weeks & I cried this morning cos I woke up, it was 7am & I wanted more sleep. Then I started selling up whilst telling a colleague about my oh valentines present!
StoneBaby - that HSBC ad has me in floods of tears every time! It's just too much. Also the Meer cat one where they leave the baby in Africa. And there's an InjuryLawyers4u ad where the injured guy's family look so sad....
What is it with that kfc advert?! DH and I watched it yesterday, he turned to me and said 'hmm, that was a bit of a stupid advert', while I sobbed quietly :D
It's reassuring to know I'm not the only one crying at the KFC advert, it's not a sad cry but it's a very touching advert I think. Also it makes me want a KFC meal and I can't have any because of gd so that worth a cry too I think.
Oh yes the meerkat ad gets me too.
Yes - that KFC advert. Saw it for the first time this evening - I sobbed, DH looked at me as if I was mad!
I cried at the Valentine's Day cards in tesco while picking one out for hubby.... Thank God for self service!
Oh god, the baby Oleg ad is traumatic.
God help me then. I'm only just approaching 21 weeks. Haha.
I cry because I can't sleep already because babies moving lots at night.
I cried at OHs valentines card.
(what he'd written inside)
I cried watching the boy in the striped pyjamas
(not recommended to watch in pregnancy I've learned) lol.
I cried when my manager had a go at me in work which made her feel awkward, I PROPER sobbed.
And my worse yet is crying because some sneak finished off my branston pickle so I couldn't have any with my cheese sandwich.
Oh dear, just watched the Oleg advert on YouTube in my office and then my husband arrived to take me home and found me weeping too much to explain why I was crying. I also cry at anything (anything at all) involving babies, which is awkward at antenatal classes. Also because I tried to rescue a butterfly that woke up too early but it died anyway and then I worried that I might be a terrible mother. Tried to explain to my husband (through tears) but he suggested that I wouldn't be leaving the baby in a shoebox in the porch so it probably wasn't a comparable situation. I'm so glad other people are like this too.
Today I cried in the car because I liked the Taylor Swift song that was playing.
I was watching Cars with my toddler. Bawled.
I sobbed today because I have a slightly sore throat I'm a toddler again!
Which Taylor Swift song, Fluffin?
