Coddy, I only do summer babies (DS1 15 July, a week early, DS2 4 August, 6 days late). DH birthday is 7 August.

I think so, but DH thinks it's a girlie. The relevant BD was a few days before ovulation, though, which I think is supposed to increase chances of it being a girl.

but with two boys already your chances are not even

how old are the others?

They will be five and three in the summer.

I've been told by someone else that if you have two boys already that means the chances of having a girl are less than 50:50 but I don't really understand how that works?

I love bein a (I love being a) I love bein a TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE!

Apparently if you have 2 children of either sex you have about an 80% (?) chance of having another. I believe it is because you may be genetically more likely to have that particular sex and this therefore skews the statistics. Of course, I am a 3rd child and a sister to 2 brothers so it does happen

Very interesting!

I'm in the lucky position of being genuinely unbothered what sex it is (and I get very fed up with people who refuse to believe that deep down I'm not yearning for a girl!).

I think there's something quite awesome about producing three of the same sex, actually!
