I felt similarly! I, in fact, caved in and got a private scan at 7.5 weeks! It helped. But it is a tad extravagant!

I'm 25 weeks and still don't really believe it :/ It's surreal and takes adjustment, especially when it's early and you don't have many symptoms other than no period. All you can do is wait unfortunately, either for a private scan or public scan.

I was the same.
2x home tests.
Drs appt where I expected them to test but they don't, they just take your word for it.
8w midwife booking appt where they took bloods & urine but don't actually test them for pregnancy either?!
Waited until 12w scan before someone else actually told me it was true lol. Happy now I have the scan pics, due date brought forward and started buying stuff this weekend x

i did 9 tests and was ttc and it still wouldnt sink in. most of the tests were ic's and quite faint so kept doing them until i got a reasonable line and then did a couple other ones to be sure Grin weird thing is it was twins (would have thought hormones were higher) and the tests were so faint for a while. its now a singleton pregnancy im 29 weeks and all is fine but i didnt believe i was pregnant until i had a scan at 9+3 as had very heavy bleeding (turned out to be a mc of the other twin) scan at 11+5 showed perfectly happy singleton with empty sack behind it Sad this is my third baby and every single time i have been pregnant ive had a niggly doubt or worry in the back of my mind until ive seen a baby on the scan. that..... what if theres no pregnancy when i go to the scan wont i look silly? kind of thing Grin

I have an actual baby and I still don't believe it all happened Grin
It is quite an extraordinary experience, especially as we've had so many scans; saw the baby before it (follicle) was even an egg- and that microscopic thing became a little person - it's amazing.

Congratulations, and enjoy the journey. It may get choppy from time to time, mainly due to inexperience and worry, but it's going to be the greatest thing you ever go through Flowers

observer i still dont quite believe it either. my bedroom looks like babies r us and i still cant quite imagine another baby in the house. its been almost 5 years since our last baby ds will be 5 just days after this baby is born it just feels weird as thought we wernt going to have anymore. even tho i kept all the best baby things back hoping oh would change his mind Grin pre washed all his new babygrows ready for him this weekend and was trying to imagine myself with baby and it still just hasnt quite registered properly. will probably hit me like a brick in recovery room. weve had lots of worry this time so dont think i'll be able to let out the breath it feels ive been holding since the line on the stick until hes born safe and well
