Just wondered when you all started having cravings. And what were they? Yesterday I really wanted a cheese and pickle sandwich (I don't even like cheese!) and last night as I was falling asleep I really fancied mashed potato and baked beans!

From day 1 (4 weeks!)

Started off as fish and jacket potatoes (don't even really like fish much but was having it every night)

This then moved on to carbonara (which I now cannot stand)

Last week was bacon sarnies, this week cheese and onion.

I had a pasta salad for breakfast today!

11+2

I've had a few at different times

About 8 weeks (while having really bad morning sickness) it was bbq hula hoops dipped in HP fruity sauce.

Around the 17 week point it was chips from the chip shop (not healthy at all)

About 20 week mark it was bananas and custard with jam

At the moment and for about the last 4 or 5 weeks (I'm 34 weeks) it's Ben and Jerry's half baked ice cream and mango sorbet mixed together.

Have you had any yet?

I'm only 6+1 so not many cravings yet apart from the cheese and pickle and mashed potato with baked beans. Neither of which I've had :( having terrible nausea though so food isn't really something I want to think about!

With all 3 pregnancies it was oranges, well anything that tasted of orange at the start. Then with dc1 towards the end it was cherry bake well tarts, dc2 was coke and chocolate and dc3 was egg on toast and bachelors chicken noodles. And my dh wondered why I put on sooo much weigh :)

I had a few to start with..was mainly salty things to start with...
1st trim..

  • Bovril (On toast, out the jar..)
  • Chewy choc chip cookies
  • Salami Wrapped in slices of gouda cheese with mini gherkins

2nd Trim
  • Nik Naks
  • Pineapple. OMG I am crazy for fresh pineapple and strawberries at the moment. Totally the wrong time of year as well, it's costing me a bomb
  • Blush Cheeseburgers. Specifically the nasty burger king ones with the plastic cheese and the cheap flamegrilled taste.

Orange juice and cheese n crackers in first trimester. When I wasn't being sick and even then I still brought it back up

Nothing really at the moment. Mainly food avoidance. No chicken or steak. No thanks to chocolate or cake.

Oh I tell a lie - PIZZA! Luvs a pizza ??

Have to remind myself to eat most days though. Weird combination of not being hungry in slightest then all of a sudden ravenous!

Mine was really crispy bacon -almost burnt, and fresh OJ with bits in when I was in my 1st trimester. Tailed off in my 2nd, and then in my 3rd I found out that chewing on a soaking wet natural sponge in the bath and letting the water slosh out down my face was better than anything Grin DH once caught me leant over the bath he had just ran dunking my sponge in and sucking furiously on it Blush

Dominos pizza, the things I'd do to an American hot with stuffed crust.... Oh and the warm gooey cookies they do, with half baked ice cream!

That's been my main craving and I've had god knows how many pizzas since I became pregnant.

I really really want a bacon and Nutella sandwich. I've heard they're amazing and I am desperate to try one.

Oh and bacon and maple syrup pancakes.

And crepe avec Nutella.

Oh and the cookies n creme cookie spread from trader joes.

And more Nutella

Just my regular cravings, augmented: salty, vinegar, spicy!

And a daily decaf Caffe Nero latte.

I had a boy...

I only had 'proper' cravings in the late part of the pregnancy. It was salami and pork pies. I ate so so many pork pies.

I cannot get enough plain Pom bear crisps and lemonade. I'm only 7 weeks, so I'm not sure if I'm having cravings or just aversions to all the other foods.

Initially green bananas, then crisps/ salty snacks, now just starving.

Last pregnancy it was hula hoops and other salty snacks initially, later on peanut butter.

What happens if you dont give into your cravings? does it have any impact on the baby?

I am not alone then :D 33 weeks here, with one that feels like two. I thought the sleepless nights start once the babies get here, not now Hmm
I am so tired >.

Olives. From about 4 weeks. I would finish the jar while going round the supermarket and present the empty at the checkout!

Scotch eggs with ds1 early on. I ate millions of them! Ds2 it was mashed potato. And this time (31 weeks with ds3) it was salty crisps and fizzy drinks - especially coke.

All in the first trimester. No particular cravings after that..

It was jelly a few weeks ago. It was more the texture than the taste - I wanted to squish it in my mouth Blush I texted my partner to tell him how much I wanted jelly, and when I got home he'd bought me a load of little pots Smile

First trimester... Cheese on crackers, and I had a run on super noodles for a short while.

Second trimester onwards, fresh orange juice, tinned mandarin segments, clemantines.

In my first trimester was ready made prawn cocktail from the supermarket... Would eat a pot that served two at least once a day!! And elderflower and apple juice! And lemonade ice lollies when I could stomach anything else!!

2nd trimester ... SEE FOOD AND EAT IT !! I was soo hungry all the time !!

3rd trimester ( currently 37 weeks ) again I'm always hungry for sweet things but eat tinned pineapple like it's going out of fashion and can't get enough cheese!

I had a complete obsession with ice (pint glass of ice cubes, makes my teeth hurt now just thinking about it) for 3 of my 4 pregnancies. Usually started about the 20 week mark and deserted me in the labour room about 20 mn after the birth. Strangest thing ever. Really not good for the teeth, but plus side I was back to pre-pregnancy weight within the week each time (5 kg below in the case of DD3 as was a bit of a porker before).
