Hi,
First pregnancy and for the last two weeks I've been feeling sick all the time... Morning, noon and night. Can anyone share any tips that helped them through this stage, I'm hoping it won't last too much longer. I've got the sickness bands, have had ginger drink but nothing seems to help :( I'm due to go back to work Monday after the Christmas break but not sure how I'm going to manage it

I feel for you I really do, I had such bad sickness I was put on anti sickness tablets by my gp. It sounds silly but ice lollies haloed me a little, kept me hydrated and I liked the coldness of them. Seems like you're already trying everything else I tried though. I did have little gingerbread men (mcvities) to nibble on too. I hope this passes for you really soon. xx

Ginger didn't work for me but mint flavour did. Trying sucking mint sweets or chewing mint gum?
I'm not sure if there is a miracle cure tbh so I would suggest eating regularly, I would feel so much worse on an empty stomach.
I found week 9 the worst and then it tapered off, so hopefully it'll get better for you in the next few weeks :)

I'm feeling the exact same, doc has put me at 7 weeks and I just feel sick the majority of the time, not actually been sick that much though.
I am surviving on toast, and ready salted crisps and the odd candy cane off the tree
The smell of rich foods or herbs, marinades, garlic is knocking me for 6

I feel for you op my sickness started at 7 weeks and sorry to tell you didn't get any better until 22 weeks, hopefully yours doesn't last that long! I think it's about finding what helps you at the moment for me it changed all the time I lived off crumpets until about 16 weeks as it was all I could keep down, salt & vinegar crisps helped and ice lollys will help you stay hydrated, I couldn't stomach water but could manage robinsons orange just drink what you can that's more important. Hope it passes soon.

I'm finding salty food good to keep the sickness at bay - ready salted hula hoops, ritz crackers or marmite on toast are my faves.

And having really cold drinks is nice too. Refreshing and hydrating.

I've got some ginger biscuits and ginger tea but I'm not sure they work really.

Cold water with lemon and breadsticks are my saviours. Can't wait for 12 weeks as exhausted from this constant sickness.

Mine got worse whenever my stomach started to get empty. I'd suggest eating something small every couple of hours, such as a plain ricecake.

I'm just over 13 weeks and suffered with sickness for 7 weeks although I'm starting to get over it now. The only advice I can give is to really chew your food (if you can eat) and choose food that you know won't sting or be hard to bring up again. I think personally if your going to be sick all day (as I was) nothing helps but if you can choose food carefully then it's better for you when you do throw it up. I wouldn't worry too much at this stage if you can't eat much as long as you stay hydrated. Xx

I'm only 5+5 and just started feeling sick in the past couple of days. Today I've been living off toast, ritz crackers and water. Haven't actually been sick but it seems to just be when my stomach is empty so far. Rich tea biscuits are meant to be good too.

The sickness stage is horrible, it helped me if I put an ice/cold pack on the back of my neck.

Hi, a little different but I find apples to be the only thing that helps my sickness. Pink Lady apples mostly, I think it's because they're so juicy. I'm also 7 weeks pregnant and dreading going back to work next week because of the sickness but will be stocking up on apples in readiness. Worked in my previous pregnancy too. Good luck xx
