Just dug out some of the baby clothes I've baught! And I've got about 25 body suits. And 2 bloody sleep suits! 2 or 3 hats 2 sets of bootys . 5 Muslins and 12 bibs.My problem is I don't know what the hell to buy! we don't want to know the sex and gender neutral stuff is hard to find whare we are. It's my first baby and quite frankly feel abit lost! I'm gonna order some sleep suits online. I just feel a bit clueless!

25 bodysuits is a lot! You'll probably find people buy more for you too once the baby is born.

It's exciting shopping for a new baby but try not to go mad until they are here and you know the weight, dd was 6lbs15 and although I had a couple of newborn things the majority were 0-3 and they swamped her, also some brands fit different shapes better, I found Sainsburys the best whereas Tesco were always to long and slim fitting.

Some have built in mitts on the cuff that you can fold over which is very handy as they can't fall off, I know Next do and I THINK Sainsburys did.

I'm struggling to. Im expecting twins so I don't know if I'll need premature baby size, tiny baby size or newborn size. I've got about 5 (second hand or donated) of each and my OH will have to dash out on the first day and buy more of what fits them. With it being two of them I'm not sure how many to buy! Maybe 12? I guess there will be plenty of helpers or worst case scenario online shopping if we need anything desperately.

Sorry for the typos I'm on my iPhone ! It's hard isn't it!? Are you finding out the sex TheScenicRoute? I've Baught a variety if sizes! I'm gonna get a few more sleep suit type outfits! And a cardie or two ...and leave it... I'm just trying to convince my self now that it will need more body suits because of the amount baby's poo and wee...

I'd go easy on the babygros, 25 is loads, you'll get a load as presents plus once you know if it's a boy/girl you'll want coloured stuff rather than neutral!
My DD was in grey and red getting her bcg and someone thought she was a boy, she always had some pink on her every day after that

I wouldn't worry about having a lot -better to have too many than too few. Give them away when/if you find you don't need them.
And are they all the same size?
I need to start sorting through baby stuff and working out what else we'll need. Have no hats/socks/mitts!

Stop panicking!!
Can you take a pack of the vests back? I'd say that the bare minimum you'll need is at least 6 vests and 6 sleep suits, that gives you a day to wash and dry that have been pooed or sick on.
You'll need something warm to take them out in and a nice warm blanket.

The rest can wait until you see what you get from friends and family. I also really struggled to buy clothes for both my boys until I knew what they looked like.
