I left work to go on Matty leave yesterday and I didnt get a card or a goodbye. I feel a bit unloved and unnoticed and I just wanted a cyber hug.... Its ridiculous but its really getting to me. I'd be fine normally but I just cried watching Nativity! On telly so obvs my judgement is impaired at the moment!

Big hug baby xx

I feel your pain. I was unexpectedly signed off work at 25 weeks so never got to say goodbye to anyone. I'm 34 weeks now and spent ages making Christmas presents for work colleagues which a friend took into work for me, 3 out of 20 have texted to say thank you. Everyone who goes on maternity gets a lovely send off and a few gifts. I haven't even had a Christmas card. I know they're busy at work and probably Christmas has overtaken everything and I'm a distant memory now.

Anyway, maybe they will send you something when the baby arrives. It's important to feel you are cared about xxThanks

I didn't get anything when I left either, trust me, give it a couple of days and you'll forget all about work and you literally won't care

Congratulations on your impending arrival Smile

Aww thanks- pretty much everyone left for Christmas on thursday so it was just me and 2 other people on friday. I mainly washed dirty coffee cups which werent mine then went home! I work in a big organisation and most of the time people are lovely so I don't really want to out them. Also I will feel very silly about all of this if they send me a card when the baby's born!

Big hugs to you! I know a similar feeling.. At one of my workplaces, I have signed lots of birthday cards over the past nearly 2 years, that are bought by the receptionists or management etc, I suppose they have a calendar with colleagues birthdays written down? Even for newer members of staff than me. This year on my birthday I didn't receive a card or any birthday wishes ?? It does make you feel in a crappy mood. And hey, it was possibly my last day of work today in another part time job, not maternity leave, just the job ending and "company" closing, as I don't think I will be working on Wednesday, and I haven't received a card or even a half formal goodbye. Or anything for that matter. So looks like big cyber hugs are needed all round x

I'm expecting nothing. Particularly as they are being really good and are just letting me work to the point of saying nuffs enough, so I haven't got an official leaving date.

I work in a private international company, everyone is on good money, but nobody does collections. Birthday cards etc are a joke, someone rushes around an hour before the end of the day getting signatures from whoever is in that day, which might be loads of people or might only be one or two. I consider the cards completely disingenuous and do not care for them one bit because there is no love or thought behind them, just duty or blind panic.

I would be utterly floored if I did get a pressie even if it was very small. My expectations are low, but I feel for you if everyone else gets them and you've been left out :(
