Hi,
Thought I would see if you ladies can keep me sane - google is doing the opposite!! I will be 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow, woke up this morning to some pink discharge, there when I wiped and used a liner to see. There was some for about an hour and then it stopped. Just been to the loo again and its back. Google results, half saying its normal, half say go ring the midwife. Please tell me to get off google and any other advise would be good....

Lam1 lots of people bleed in early pregnancy. there is also such a thing as implantation bleeding altho im not sure roughly when this occurs.

i would take it easy for a day or two if you can, rest put your feet up and try not to do too much. it is also worth contacting your local early pregnancy assessment unit.

dont worry too much its probably nothing and try to stay off google Grin

I had slight bleeding/pinkish discharge with two of my dc at the time my period would have been due.
With the 1st it happened 3 times and the 2nd twice.

Have you recently had sex? You could have irritated your cervix.

Are you 100% sure it's coming from your vagina? How's your wee? could you have a water infection?

Keep an eye in case it gets heavier and speak to your midwife or GP.

Thanks for the replies.
No recent sex as DH is away. Wee is fine, it's definitely from the vagina and now I have cramping too. Will dig out the phone number for the early pregnancy unit, didn't know there was such a thing, and call them first thing....

ginger implantation occurs on average 12-14 days after conception/ovulation. The pregnancy hormone HCG will not rise until implantation is complete. So if a pregnancy has been confirmed then implantation has already occurred.

OP. if this is any consolation I have been bleeding (properly bleeding) for over a week now and two scans have showed a strong heart beat. Women can and do bleed a little during pregnancy and go on to have totally healthy babies. Unfortunately though some women do not. You may be one of those women or you may not be. You will just have to wait it out I'm afraid. Easier said than done believe me I know. according to my MW I have an extremely high chance of MC due to the gestational sac being really small ( nothing at all to do with the bleeding so dont panic) because of this I will need fortnightly scans to check growth. I have a week to wait for my next one and I've been driving myself insane panicking and worrying.

If you start bleeding heavily or notice an offensive smell or severe pain please do contact the EPU.

Please try not to worry yourself it won't solve anything. Best wishes and good luck

thanks for that sarky. i wasnt sure, i bled in early pregnancy around the time periods were due and was told it could be implantation even though i had done a cb saying 2-3 weeks hence why i wasnt sure. also to add sorry for what youre going through must be a worrying time, glad youre getting closely monitored and i hope the pregnancy continues healthily and happily.

least now i will know for next time, a symptom to watch out for. i did mc unfortunately.

as already said though lam it is not always a bad sign. my mam bled all the way through her pregnancy with my youngest sibling. try and stay positive and rest.

Sarky that sounds awful for you, wishing you all the best.

This pregnancy lark is not easy, waiting when everything is out of our control.
