Third trimester is laying me looooow, anyone else?

Just wondering if anyone else has been caught off-guard by suddenly becoming really uncomfortable?! I'm almost 31w and just in the last couple of weeks have had a smorgasbord of discomfort... Pelvic pain, insomnia, nausea, lack of appetite, you name it. And, yes, I have been in for a check-up and everything fine. Just feeling rough - I can only assume it gets worse from here?! Confused

Yes, me too. I am 33 weeks and suffering very similarly to you. All of the things you mention in fact with the addition of coccyx pain, painful Braxton Hicks, baby grinding his head on my pubic bone and I am so fed up sometimes - can't sit, stand or lie comfortably. I keep reminding myself that this is my last baby and I had intended to enjoy being pregnant for the last time - but it's just reminded me of what a painful and exhausting experience it is growing a baby! I was lying in bed awake last night imagining asking the surgeon for a sterilisation when they do my c section.

My 'saving grace' is that this baby is being delivered at 37 weeks so I have less than 4 to go.

It's horrible though isn't it? DH and I aren't close at the moment either so in addition to that I'm feeling sad I can't go to him for a cuddle. What a pity party I am! Smile

Nearly 39 weeks. I am still carrying on as normal but just slower. Takes nearly an hour to traipse around aldi. I didn't even put a bra on today and never in my adult life have I done that (I did have a coat on though)

I have a one year old so he had a picnic of cheese and blueberries and pre made pancake as I didn't have the motivation to cook and I am having quicke for lunch. I have so much to do :(

My bathroom is not pleasant, green front step, ironing, bed change

wishes for a magic fairy

My groceries (dried goods will wait in the car until dh comes home)

Almost 39 weeks too Mrsgrumble ! And no complaints asides from killing lower back pain that started just the other day and is relentless. OH! And shooting pains down both legs if he decides to move his head about which is awful!
Other than that I've just gotten into a real cleaning frenzy! Can't wait for him to be here now. Good luck everyone :)

32 weeks tomorrow. And, oh dear Lord, yes.

Just been to Physio for a pair of crutches. Feel like I've been kicked with a steel toe boot smack between the legs.

That and BH, cramps, aches, and having a (gorgeous but enthusiastic) toddler makes me want to weep.

Oh, and then there's my swollen, heavy vulva!

I may have overshared...

wednesbury can I ask how you are having a section at 37 weeks?

Is it wrong that I'm jealous?

Just want this baby to be born

34 weeks and really starting to feel the physical aches and pains. Not helped by having a toddler who doesn't want to sleep without me and will wake up two or three times a night and insist I join him in his bed in his room - makes my hips ache and not enough room. Bloody exhausted. Also rather terrified as to what managing two might be like, much as I'm looking forward to not being pregnant any more. Cs booked for 38.2 on 23rd dec! Thank goodness won't have to wait around another couple of weeks to give birth.

37 + 3 ( I think! I'm losing the plot a bit.) and I'm so uncomfortable and fed up. Full of a cold that ds gave me & just can't seem to shake off. At my last midwife appointment she told me to drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest, oh ha ha! When I cough hard I'm being sick as the baby is sat super high and it's making me really breathless. I'd just managed to get to sleep last night, not easy but had my pillows arranged just so, and dh woke me up to get me to rub some Vicks on because I sounded like a fog horn!?

As someone else said, this is going to be my last pregnancy and I wanted to enjoy it. I think I'd forgotten just how hard it is, or maybe it just seems harder with a toddler? He's being really clingy and whingey today, but thankfully he's napping right now so I've got my feet up Brew.

I have to say I'm jealous of those booked in for sections...

I'm so desperate for baby to come out in half tempted to shove a stick up there and wriggle it around... Unfortunately I have more sense so its the long wait for me Sad

dottytablecloth I am booked in at 37 weeks because of two prior EMCS - the second one I had a complete rupture and consequential placental abruption attempting VBAC so need to avoid labour at all costs. I have a very long internal scar down into the ligament. I'm lucky I've been able to have another but I am feeling terrified every day - what if this scar doesn't hold up?

The early delivery (aside from worrying whether the baby will be OK as my other two came at almost 41 weeks) does seem like a blessing though in terms of third trimester discomforts.

I do feel for those of you who have the long wait.

I'm booked in for a cs at 38.2 as that's when it suited my surgeon before Xmas Shock. I had one previous cs due to breech baby and therefore had the choice this time. I've had medicalised pregnancies due to multiple miscarriages and apparently it's quite common for people like me to want to get it out quickly. I have a fear of it all going wrong at the end. That said I am very nervous about having another cs even though the first went well and recovery wasn't too hideous. It still feels like a big operation that some others seem to take more casually than me! But yes it is nice to know I won't be hanging around.

Wednesbury, any tips on cs recovery when you already have a toddler gratefully recovered!

I'm 31+2 with my 2nd and I can't remember feeling so 'twitchy' with my 1st, I'm just so bloody uncomfortable. DH is armed forces and has been away since week 16 with still 3 more to go, DS(6) is a little peach but is starting to hanker for the Christmas tree up Shock and I've barely started Christmas shopping. Can barely cope with the idea of potentially 10 more weeks Confused

35 weeks here and the exact same, so uncomfortable!!! BH's, sore hips, shooting pains in the lady bits, tummy skin ready to rip at any moment. On the other hand I am actually at a point when I think the whole "I'm going to have two children soon" thing has started to sink in so I am pretty happy for madam to stay put for a while longer. One more week of work left to go. Surely I will start to feel better when I can chill out on mat leave, oh, wait, no because Christmas will be here in a matter of weeks and there is all that to sort out - eeek!!

32 today and I'm very bored of feeling like an old lady. Lower back/coccyx pain makes getting up sooo slooooow. Our sofa is awful, literally the worst place to sit when pg as it's deep and soft and comfy. I'm watching a TV perched on the edge or with my gym ball wedged behind me.

Reflux if I eat too much, or bend over after food. Can't get up, bend over, sit down etc without an 'ooof'.

Three more weeks of work left! Hurrah! Then I've just got two bedrooms to redecorate Confused

3rd trimester is grim. I'm 32 weeks and feel crap. Have crazily put house on market this week, it's bad timing but had to do it. Have heartburn, Many BHs whenever o do anything and my pelvis just feels wrong and achy. Think this baby (dc2) will be late as DD was and so far the pregnancy is similar. Also feel quite weepy. I am quite sure I am never doing this again.
