Found out I was pg when I was about 4 weeks gone. Last weekend had a bit of a bleed with lots of consistent pain Monday I was referred by GP to hospital suspected ectopic pregnancy. I'm now 8 weeks pg, had an early scan Monday which showed all ok but I'm having twins.

I stayed off work for a couple of days then went back Thursday the pain came back and I had a little bleed with a clot but the bleeding lasted all day with clots throughout. I went back to hospital but they say babies are ok but "can't explain why I'm bleeding" don't seem bothered but I am.

Can anyone help PLEASE Smile

When you went back to the hospital, did they do another scan to check your babies were okay?

Do you have an early pregnancy unit at your hospital where they can do a scan and put your mind at rest?

I'm sorry you're going through this, it's a worrying time and you need to know why this is happening for your own peace of mind.

I bled now and again through my pregnancy with my DS and I was ordered to rest, perhaps working at this time isn't the best thing for you.

Congratulations first off. If your doctors are not worried. Please try not to worry. Easier said than done but you need to get your stress levels down to help the babies.

I have triplets and for the beginning few weeks I had some very heavy bleeding. The doctors said it was normal through a multiple birth pregnancy

You should try to find a local twins club or contact TAMBA for some help and to talk to other twin mummy's. That will help put your mind at rest

Take it easy and rest lots. Eat little and often. That will give your babies the best possible start

We've moved this to pregnancy for you.
Good luck with it all

Thankyou. They did. On Monday I had an internal, bloods taken and an internal scan when I went back Thursday they did a normal scan as they didn't want to upset anything with me still having pain and bleeding. That's when they said they're fine and sharing same sac, strong beating hearts but didn't know why I was bleeding. It's strange because sometimes it seems like old blood Brown and dark clots and sometimes it's bright red and New like I'm coming on my period. Don't know what to do just rest I guess but I like to be on the go all the time.

There will be plenty of time to be on the go once the babies are born. This is your chance to rest up and take it easy. These babies need to be cooked and stay inside you for as long as possible

Grin definitely haha! Looks like it'll be plenty of rest for me for now then and see how I get on Monday. If I'm not right, I'll stay off!!

Hi, I'm 28 weeks with non-Id twins and have had two bleeds. Not much but enough to make me go and get checked out. They explained away my bleeding by saying that because everything is growing and stretching a lot faster in a short period of time, that it's just your body adjusting. Try not to worry, especially as the docs are happy with your scans. Good luck and hope it settles down, and it is normal that the paranoia still remains! I'm still constantly checking. Flowers

Thanks that's definitely peace of mind for me. I want to try and carry on as normal as I can as I feel completely fine in myself apart from the couple of bleeds I've had. I'm more than happy with the scans as are the doctors so just hope it's not an every week occurrence.
