Positive or not? Help please

Hi, I'm a newbie here.

My period was due 5 days ago so I took a CB plus test on Wed lunch time and had a very very faint line. Not sure if it's positive. My husband and I did try around my O days this month. But I haven't had any other symptoms such as tenderness in my boobs. However I have had minor cramps similar as you get with a period but yet my period still hasn't come.

Any advice would be helpful.

Ps: I'm taking anothe test tomorrow morning.

Thanks so much.

To me that looks like a negative, in all three pictures.

With your period being 5 days late already I would expect a much stronger line than the grey shadow I can see in your pics -- unless you have your dates wrong?

Try tomorrow with a pink dye test. FRER are highly recommended here and with good reason. Best of luck!

I can see a line...

I would also use another brand though. I used a superdrug cheapy (pink line - easier to read)

I feel I can see a line. Very faint. Get a digital then there's no confusion. Good luck :) Flowers

Thanks. I will try again tomorrow and see how it goes. It's just my period has been very regular 29 days and very unusual to be late for this long. It could also be stress though. Thanks for replying.

I think I can see a line too. I'd get a First response test.

I can see a faint positive on second. I'd buy a load of cheap b&m or poundland ones and do them in the mornings over the weekend to confirm.

I don't want to get your hopes up too much but I can see a feint line. I would expect it to be stronger at 5 days late though (although different women do have very different levels of HCG sometimes). Are you sure about your dates? Are your periods regular? Could you be mistaken about when you ovulated? Are you drinking too much water? I would continue to test each morning with your first morning urine (more concentrated) until you get a stronger line or your period comes. Maybe try a different brand of test, I found First Response are very sensitive, I got a line on that test before I did with the others I tried (including the CB).

I've seen many, many BFNs in my time (had a long battle with infertility and used many pee sticks every month!). None of my BFNs with different types of tests even gave the hint of a second line as I can see on your photo. Fingers crossed!

When I took the test it was on Wednesday around 1pm. I would have had 3 drinks (water) by then. I would have been 3 days late. Tomorrow will be 6 days. So hopefully I get a better result. Yes my period is very regular. For the past three months it has always been 28/29 days. However I did just came off the pill 4 months ago so it could be my body playing tricks on me.

I took a test after being 7 days late and it was negative. I am now 36 weeks along, take another in a couple days as the doctors told me it could take longer than being only a week late to show possitive sometimes

I see a feint line in both pics. Test again tomorrow. I always use Boots own brand, 2pk for about £5 with pink dye. Good luck. :)

I used one of those tests before my period was due and had a faint line. I then did a FRER the next day and it was very dark. Did the line come up within the time frame? I would also recommend testing again tomorrow with a pink dye test. Could be that your body is still sorting itself out from coming off the pill and you Ov'd later than you thought which is why the line is not very dark. Good luck!

I think I can see a line. I too have seen many many pfn and there has never been a hint of a line there so I'd say fingers crossed for you. I too would recommend a pink dye test (they are easier to read in my opinion) or even better a digital, some supermarkets and pharmacies do their own brand digitals that are cheaper if that makes a difference. Also do it first thing in the morning.

Keep us posted.

It does look positive to me I can see lines in both. Just still rather faint to say it was taken when AF was late, it can vary with people though as ovulation one month can just happen a tad later even if been regular before, also some people can implant later then others which would cause HCG to release and build a tad later. take a pink dye test or digi to be sure. Fingers crossed

If in doubt, do more tests!! I agree with all the other ladies, buy a load and do them over the weekend. I'm sorry to say that in your pics the tests look negative to me (but I do have dreadful eyesight!!) so I hope some more tests give you a clear answer, and that it's the answer you want. Good luck!
