Pregnancy

3rd trimester grumbling

Ok so I have today reached that magical threshold of being 37 weeks - full term! The baby could come any day, I really hope s/he does, but I'm know it'll be several weeks from now before s/he makes an appearance! I'm just so sick of it (and whiny). Varicose veins, restless legs keeping me up at night, the tiredness, and a plethora of pains to get through the day with. I know some women love pregnancy, not me though. I just want it over, preferably today. Come on baby, make your appearance!

I was "neat" with a big bump till 35 weeks, skipping around wondering what all these aches and pains they talk about were.
Then BAM. 35+4 or so ... swollen, moon faced, sore legs, reflux, lightning crotch, cramp.

Average eta is 41 weeks in the UK. So said MW. Hope this Bubba is PROMPT.

I'm 37 weeks as well and so fed up! I'm glad there's only 3 weeks (or a bit more) left but at the moment that feels like an eternity. It just feels like the never ending pregnancy at the moment. I feel like I am the most boring mum ever to my poor three year old.
Just ate lots of chocolate to help me feel better but I just feel nauseous now.
Was up til midnight with reflux (I'd gone to bed really early but couldn't sleep) and then my dd got up at 5. Would just love a duvet day. But most of all I just can't wait til the baby is here!

DD was born at 39+4 so I'm trying to be realistic and look towards 39-40 (though obviously each pregnancy varies). If it goes over I think I'll cry. I know the old wives tales don't really work but will also probably be trying them as well, just out of sheer desperation.

I think it's a myth that some women love pregnancy. I've never met one!

Good point bunnies, I've only seen people say they love pregnancy on MN. Then again I haven't met many other pregnant women tbf.

Only 34 weeks but utterly miserable! I have such bad heartburn that I'm waking up in the night choking in mouthfuls of acid, I have the energy of a dead slug. But worst of all I noticed my first stretch mark yesterday - I didn't get any with ds - wahhhhh!

However I'm torn between hoping this one comes sooner rather than later, and needing him to hang on for as long as possible as we've just started major building work on our house......Hmm

39 weeks and I just know that I've probably still got another 3 weeks left... So uncomfortable and hate being pregnant! Although saying that I am very privileged and super excited for my little boy to arrive :)
