Sorry to hear you are struggling so much. Have you been to your GP about the sickness (by which I guess you mean vomiting and nausea)? It is all too common I am afraid to get thrush, UTIs etc. Age doesn't come into play.

If you would like further support on the sickness, visit the Hyperemesis Support thread which has links, advice and just women all going through the same thing. There is medication you can take which is perfectly safe to use in pregnancy to reduce the symptoms you have.

I spent the majority of my pregnancy going from bed to sofa and back again. Don't force yourself to do too much and rest if you need to/get signed off work.

Hope you feel better soon Thanks

I don't like being pregnant. DD1 and 2 I was in my early 20s but wasn't ill, just a bit of morning sickness and heartburn. DD3 in my 30s I was so ill and just had no energy. I had problems with my public bone, sciatica, depression which was so bad. Most of my friends loved being pg but I hated it even when I wasn't ill. I couldn't wait to have DD3 and begged to be induced. I would have another one if I could just do the labour and not be pg. Due to my dislike of pregnancy I won't have anymore. No one understands me as they all loved being pregnant and think I am exaggerating.

If it's any help, I am now almost 26 weeks and feel a lot better now than I did at 15 weeks. You've just been through the first trimester which (as well as the last few weeks) are the hardest stages of pregnancy IME.

Thanks

It's different for everyone - and age has nothing to do with it! I'm 27 - 32 weeks pregnant, never got my second trimester boost. At this rate I will only have 1 child! Hope things start to improve for you. Just try to remember- it'll be worth it in the end! That's what I keep telling myself.

It's not your age; I'm 36 and 30 wks pregnant with first. I've been lucky to have had a very easy pregnancy so far. I was healthy and rarely ill before I was pregnant though, are you generally well? Every pregnancy is different though, think it all depends how your body reacts to the increased hormone levels.

Ur not alone chuckive been the same. My kidney was slowly poisining me, luckily ive had a drain put in now nd never felt better! I have had thrush every few wks due to being on various anti-b's. Just listen to your body and rest plenty nd slowly build your strength back up. Ive had to nd still not used to being able to do little each day. I have to make a choice between going out like shopping or doin the housewprk as i dont have the physical strength and energy to do it like i nornqlly would. I used to be so strong and energetic and love being on the go and now its like ive been hit by something and having to learn all over again, its taken its toll as i keep crying feeling sorry for myself lol as i dont like pple doing everything, im very independant :( hope u get better soon x
