Pregnancy

Went on funfair ride- now scared :-(

I'm 19 weeks pregnant, we went to the funfair with the kids today and I got on a ride with my 5 yo. I thought it was a slow one...it wasn't :-(
I'm so stupid not to have realised, it looked like one of those innocent teacup spinny things, the thing is it was incredibly bumpy and fast, my bones were rattled!
My 5 yo hated it but was brave bless her, but I'm now really worried about baby. All that bumping around and fast spinning couldn't have been good? Am I worrying needlessly or should I be calling GP tomorrow just in case? I had a missed miscarriage last year and have been anxious about this pregnancy from the beginning (let alone how I feel now after going on that stupid ride).

I think everything will be fine. I worried about the same thing after a really bad bus ride once (I mean really bad shaking and bumping!!) but all was fine. They're so well cushioned in the fluid within the uterus that it was likely nothing at all to the baby.

Are all movements normal? If so I wouldn't worry at all and would only get checked out if it puts your mind at rest.

Thanks for reassurance Toothy , I think movements are ok? I haven't felt much yet tbh anyway, just small rumblings and movement. I'm quite sure I felt more little rumblings earlier this evening so hopefully a good sign. I think I may just end up calling MW or GP tomorrow. Still feeling incredibly stupid for going on the darn thing, praying all will be ok.

Unless you felt any bumps to your stomach then I'm sure the baby will be fine.

I accidently went on one of those really big spinny upside down rides when I was 8 weeks PG (didn't know I was PG then!) And everything was fine Smile if you are worried then give your midwife a ring, i'm sure she will be more than happy to have a listen and make sure baby's ok
