I'm now at the point where I'm allowed n my bike again SmileSmileSmileSmile if nothing more than to induce labor gong over cobbles!!

Got my sweep Tuesday. It's only a 10-15min cycle away... If the sweep works how soon will kick in? Is it safe to make this journey alone and on the bike?

If I don't cycle, it's a 30min walk or wait for bus or I'd have to ask mum of partner to take morning off work... Don't really want to do that.

Sweep effectiveness and how soon it kicked in stories please

You'll get some mixed stories here about effectiveness. But even if it works immediately, you'll be in early labour for a while and you'll be able to get home. Nothing is going to happen straight away.

My labour started naturally but it was three days between first contraction and having to go to hospital.... And then 9 hours of active labour.

I wouldn't worry about a 10-15 min journey home!
