If it is on your ovary, it is where the egg burst out and is normal in the 1st trimester. They would tell you if it was a problem.

I too have a cyst on my right hand side which was picked up when I miscarried in November...

Although they are unsure of what it is I'm having scans evey 2months as it's slightly raised... They said its comman when pregnant to have cysts and they tend to go 6weeks after baby has arrived.

My 6week follow up after miscarriage still showed the cyst but have said its nothing to be concerned about as they think it's a dermoid cyst. But will monitor it due to it being raised...

So I would not worry as cyst's in pregnacy are comman and should eventually disappear. If worried mention it to your gp and get then to check it at your next scan.

There are different types but are generally pretty common - mostly it's not a big concern though. I have got multiple cysts on one of my ovaries which are quite large, big enough to have caused some exclamation at my scan and by midwife when she saw the details, then get me referred to a consultant. Even then the verdict is they're unlike to cause any problems, the consultant was very relaxed. They will just measure them again at the next scan and check they're not growing significantly. I might have to have a small operation post-pregnancy to have them removed but for obvious reasons they try to avoid that during pregnancy!
