Hi ladies on the 17th I've got a double blood test to check my blood sugar. Just wondered how it went, I'm pretty freaked out by blood tests but two in one day I'm panicking about. After 30 mins normally my arm is killing the thought of them sticking another one is scaring me.

I had a blood test two weeks ago and fainted what I'm I going to be like after fasting and morning sickness?

What was your experience with it

It is pretty bleak, because of the fasting. They don't take much blood though so that's not too bad. Just don't watch them do it!
I downloaded stuff from iPlayer to watch in the 2 hour interval but then forgot my headphones. Idiot.
Take something with you to eat so you can have it straight away after the second test. I did feel a bit wonky as i'd fasted from 9pm til 11.30am in the end.
Also bear in mind you're not supposed to walk about so take lots of stuff with you. I wanted to walk to the hospital shop (5 mins walk) and they said no, it may affect the test.
Good luck!

I've got mine next week, I'm dreading it coz of the fasting! I don't want to feel faint or pass out!!! I have heard off lots of people on here that it's fine and they all felt ok xx

Had mine last week. It really wasn't as bad as I thought but I did end up feeling sick because I was so hungry! But I had scans and clinic during the wait to keep me busy.
One thing that I would say is don't forget to take a bottle of water with you.

I had my yesterday and I was really nervous because I don't do well not eating. I did feel quite light headed after I had to down about a pint of Lucazade but it didn't last too long - I found reading made my head spin more though.
I had a midwife app in between too so it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. By the time I went in for my second bloods I felt fine and not even that hungry really surprisingly.
Be prepared for baby to go nuts from the sugar though!
