Morning sickness disappeared :(

I know this has probably been done to death but I'm trying not to get too worried. I'm 12+5 and since 4 weeks I've been feeling awfully sick - not throwing up every day, but on the days I did I felt like I was dying. Last night when I got into bed I realised I hadn't felt sick all day, and I don't feel sick this morning either. Normally it's all day, constant nausea.
I went to see doctor yesterday as had some pains on my side and he said it was just growing pains.
Should I be worried?

Many people report the morning sickness disappears at the start of the second trimester. Don't panic yet Smile

I stopped feeling sick at around ten weeks in both my pregnancies. The first one, I'd had a missed miscarriage at nine weeks (found out at 12 week scan). The second pregnancy, sickness stopped at around 11 weeks and I was convinced the same had happened, however all was completely fine and that baby is now a healthy toddling 14 month old.
I suppose my point is it is very common around the stage you are at and doesn't necessarily mean anything untoward at all.

I'm about the same stage and have been feeling much less sick over the last week. Some days I feel pretty much fine but then it will come back and ill be sick. I think it's normal I start feeling better by about now so don't worry, all is well Smile

Also I've had cramping the past few days too - I figure it's just things moving and stretching as I think baby doubles in size this week so our bodies will be working and adjusting. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I suspect your placenta has taken over - many women report feeling much better around this time.

Congratulations!

I'm looking forward to the morning sickness to disappear. Suffering here and my 2 year old DS is constantly asking me "what's wrong mama?" bless him.

I felt better as soon as I hit the 12 week mark with DS. 5 more weeks to go sigh

Same happened to me in my second pregnancy. I was extremely ill from 6 -13 weeks. I barely managed to stay out of hospital, vomiting constantly etc. Then at 13 weeks I woke up one morning and it was gone.

I was very shocked as I also had hyperemesis in my first pregnancy but it didn't stop til dd was born.

My morning sickness disappeared at around the same time, it seemed to happen all of a sudden too. I also got growing pains - it's the ligaments stretching and making room for your growing baby. Unless it becomes really painful or goes on for a long time I wouldn't worry.

Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well!

It sounds like you're one of the lucky ones whose sickness ends bang on the start of the second trimester. Mine continued until about week 16 and some women have it all the way through!

If you're 12+5 you must have your first scan soon - I'm sure that will reassure you.

Thanks everyone :) I've been getting crippling headaches for the last 2 days and just found out I have a uti which I know you get more often when you're pregnant so on antibiotics for that so hopefully all is well.
Still haven't got my scan date through the post yet but the midwife said as its just a dating scan and not the NT they'll probably just fit me in as and when they can.
