Does anyone have experience of severe muscle rip and subsequent pregnancy // labour

After I had my fourth child 3 years ago, I ripped my muscle that runs just under my left breast. I felt like I couldn't raise my chest to breathe and six months later I was complaining to the doctor as I was still in extreme pain. They said there was nothing they could do and it would hurt for a long time due to it being a core muscle.

3 years later and I still have significant pain. I have been able to work on my abs at the gym. The doctor still suggests it is scar tissue but they are unable to help.

For this reason my husband and I decided we would not have any more children but I have found I am pregnant again.

Can anyone give me advise on what I can expect. Whether it will cause any problems etc.

Can't offer any advice other than perhaps a Physio could help with suggests on how to help repair ? Seems like a long time not to have had some improvement. Most maternity units will have Physios associated with them if for in other reason than SPD help so perhaps ask your GP/midwife for referral.

Oh and congratulations ! [Flowers]
