Bleed at 13 weeks

Hi all.
Just wondered if anyone can help with this one. I had a bleed on Friday night, I'm 13 weeks. I went in to hospital, got checked out, got scanned, baby is fine. (and so, so cute) Placenta seems to be intact, cervix is fine. So it is recorded as unexplained bleeding.
However as I have had 2 mc in the last 6 months, I am quite terrified that this is a sign of worse things to come.
Can anyone help? Is this common? And how do I even begin to relax now?
Thank you :)

Hmm, I had bits of blood until about 15 weeks (can't remember exactly, but was definitely after scan), but yours sounds like it may have been more than mine (was just when I wiped, etc). Am now 27+1 and although midwife never offered any explanation I've decided to blame low lying placenta and fibroid! It's just so hard to tell what these things mean and nothing will ever stop you worrying completely.

You were definitely right to get it checked out. Good luck, take it easy and I hope everything works put for you. Sorry I can't be more definitive, but didn't want to read and run.

I bled at 13 weeks (it was before my 12 week scan - I was further along than I thought). Everything was fine. DD is now nearly one Smile

I had quite a heavy bleed at 14weeks. I also had scan, cervix fine and couldn't give an explanation.
I'm now 18 weeks and all is fine still, have started to fell movement now which is so reassuring. This is dc 2 so a lot earlier than 1st pregnancy.
It was so scary and I spent a week thinking I was going to mc Hmm
I still have brown discharge type stuff like what I get at end of my period. (Sorry TMI!) but midwife is not worried about that as its old blood and it was quite a lot of blood so said I can take time to clear out.

Hope you manage to relax, please use this as an excuse to rest and put your feet up for a few days!
Good luck I'm sure everything will be fine!Smile

Thank you ladies. I really really appreciate all your replies. I'm also sorry you have been through the same, but happy to know I am not alone in a weird (horrid) way if that makes sense.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Hi pink, I don't know if you remember but we were on a TTC thread along time ago, sorry you've had the stress of bleeding again, your story is very similar to mind though, I got pg had a mc got pg 2 cycles later had another mc then got pg straight away again with this current pregnancy, I too had bleeding with this pregnancy at 14wks,18wks and another after a fall, had a scan at 14 but after it happened again at 18 I didn't as it was just brown and could feel baby at that point, I wasn't examined Untill fall internally but they said I had an errosion on the outside of cervix, anyway it is very common and after 12wks very unlikely to be a sign of mc, you will worry but as the weeks go on it does get easier, fx you have smooth sailing for the rest of the time x

Hey kitty! Of course I remember :) thanks for your reply. The more I hear the more I feel like it is much more common than I was aware of, just another one of those things that people don't talk about!
