Pregnancy

Exercise, fatigue & morning sickness

Hi,

I usually exercise & did through my last pregnancy. I had morning sickness all the way through but exercise helped me. There were times when I was so tired & weak that I couldn't.

I am now about 7 weeks pregnant & getting the morning sickness again. I'm better once I start getting going but then need to sit/lie down because I feel dizzy & wiped out. I'm very frustrated as I'missed my Zumba class last night & I'm not sure if I'll be able to go to spin tonight.

I'd like to keep my fitness up & don't want to pile on the pounds unecessarily.

Has anyone been through this? Any advice or support would be great.

Thanks.

Hi, I've found the same - way too tired and dizzy when I try to exercise!

I've dropped the formal exercise, will start up again if I feel up to it later in pregnancy but for now I'm loading DS into the pram each day and going for a power walk around a local country park - taking a football under the pram so if I start feeling unwell he gets to have a kick about and I get to perch on a bench :)

I also used to be fit but im so exhausted and nauseas im not doing anything. Plus having off and on spotting so my hubbie is insisiting i do ntohing.
I can feel i have put on some love handles and im upset - made mistake of mentioning to hubbie last night who promptly shouted at me for being selfish and to take care of his baby!
Stupid men.

I plan to get back into spin and gym once 12 wk is over, roll on 4 more weeks!!
Am watching my diet and snacking healthly so hopefully will be ok- dried apricots, bananas, odd pieces of toast, etc
Good luck and feel better
