What are you eating?

Hi everyone! :)

Just wondering what and how much you are all eating now that you are pregnant?

I loss my appetite in the first 12 weeks or so, and then it gradually came back to normal. I'm now 25 weeks and suddenly feel very hungry almost all the time and have started getting cravings for chocolate! Uptill now I've been very careful, with snacking on fruit and dried fruit mainly, but now ... it feels like a strong urge to have a chocolate and crisp. Maybe I need to increase my lunch/tea portions? Hmm

I'm eating my second bar of Terry's chocolate orange after my Nandos lunch..yikes! was feeling all smug upto this week (24) that I wasn't eating/snacking much but appetite has come back with a vengence. I think you're supposed to eat more little and often as when you get larger your stomach has less space and big meals can lead to indigestion.

Last time I made sure I had fruit on my desk at work so I didn't snack on rubbish, need to really get back into that habit and soon I think. Hard if you're craiving something fatty though xx

Am making a concerted effort to eat better, lots of fruit and especially lots of veg/salad but have just polished off a chilli beef pizza dipped in guacamole and sour cream Blush

probably better to increase your portion sizes than snack on chocs etc. or have a bowl of cereal?

I'm 12 weeks and can't stop eating baked potatoes and baked beans and cheese or sometimes I switch it up by having mash with grilled cheese on top and baked beans... Wink

At 25 weeks anything and everything! Was doing ok til last week and then the hunger really set in, trying to eat healthy snacks but sometimes only a biscuit will do!

Oh, really healthily Hmm I haven't eaten two creme eggs and a bag of haribo today, oh no!

I try to get my five a day. I have found it physically impossible to over eat at meal times. I have learnt to my peril that over doing meals only results in one thing Envy, even though I'm 30 weeks now I'm still sick if I push it!

I am eating fairly balanced meals but enjoying naughty snacks. I am about 8lb heavier than when I got pregnant (with a BMI of 30 prior to getting pregnant I'm very happy with that!).

I've got a fondness for salt and vinegar chipsticks at the moment. Also, someone on my September 2013 bus mentioned baked potato with coleslaw and grated cheddar. It was so nice I actually thought I might cry! Grin My wonderful DP has just come back from the supermarket with three packs of fresh cookies as I've been having a miserable hormonal day today.

Oh the salt and vinegary chipsticks I'd one of the morning sickness cures i've discovered! Something about the vinegar I think!

Loads of haribo! At least the meat and super noodle cravings have passed now though!

Another baked potato fan here (waves to klikers)
Also lots of cheese, marmite, crumpets, ribena
Gone off: tea, pasta, chicken, milk

(waves back to Creamtea!). I've also massively gone off chicken which is a shame as it's cheap, healthy and a good source of protein Confused Ate a whole pack of 5 Tunnocks bars at work today, drinking gallons of elderflower too. On the plus side eating shed loads of fruit and am eating breakfast regularly which I've always been bad at.

I have a HUGE craving for thai red curry... The craving is so bad that I have orchastrated several stays at my in laws as the thai restaurant is round the corner from them... bit much?

Also want to join the haribo love - in fact sweets in general.
and oranges. bags and bags of oranges.
I'm going to be the size of a house by the time the baby is born!!

Omg, you guys, I cannot stop eating! I've started week 17 and have had a pretty healthy appetite for the last.... 17 weeks (no morning sickness, just the urge to eat every hour or so!).
I try to eat healthy stuff and snack on fruit, dried fruit and nuts (graze boxes are awesome for that), I eat yoghurts, unsweetened cereal for breakfast... so not that bad... But I have a feeling I eat too many carbs! I can't help it, it's winter and I just cannot be bothered eating salads. Baby wants pasta, bacon, CHEESE, potatoes and meat. And lots of it! I realise I have to reduce my dinner portion sizes to avoid heartburn (which started already, eek!) but when I come home I'm so cold and hungry that I sometimes find it hard to control myself.
Oh and I made donuts last Sunday - ate three. They were delicious and I regret nothing! :D
I gained about 7 lbs since the start of pregnancy and I started with a healthy BMI so I'm hoping this is an acceptable weight gain at this stage? Anyone?

I'm only 6 weeks and after some nausea last week and craving nothing but salt (never enjoyed salt and vinegar crisps so much in my life!), I'm now loving hot and spicy food. I'm currently sipping a really spicy virgin Mary, I'm going to have beetroot soup with hot horseradish for lunch and I'm craving a really meaty pizza covered in jalapeño!

Fairy130389 a Thai red curry would be very welcome now!

However, first thing in the morning, all I can really stomach is hot buttered toast.

I spent the first 14 weeks throwing up everything I ate sometimes just as I finished it Hmm Bastarding heartburn. I then discovered Rantadine and now its probably easier to ask what I don't eat Grin I like spicy food a lot the more chilli the better but last time DH did a curry it gave me braxton hicks.

Am 31 weeks tomorrow have mantained the same weight since the beginning but look like the side of a house. Sad Gone off chocolate though and before I'd eat a bar a day.
