Cold remedies and tips when pregnant...

... So am sat at home with a stinking cold. Pharmacist has confirmed the only drugs option is plain paracetamol... which is a pain given that at the first hint of a cold I usually dose myself up with Beechams Cold and Flu and a nice tot of whisky!

So have taken my paracetamol, have steamed with a drop of olbas oil and am drinking hot lemon and honey. All helping a little but still feel crap - any other tips and remedies that are suitable for a pregnant woman???

I hear Vicks rubbed into the soles of your feet can help but not tried it.

I was told about Vicks on feet (on here!) 2 days ago for my cough & tried it and started improving overnight.

Was also told to try gargling salt water but that made me feel a bit sick, steaming is always helpful though.

Was going to suggest hot lemon & honey with a couple of paracetamol!

Never heard of the vicks on feet thing though!
