Pregnancy

Early pregnancy and no real symptoms, is this normal? Any full termers that had this?

Hi all, this is my first thread and my first pregnancy. Getting a bit concerned as don't really seem to have many / any symptoms while lots of others at my stage are. Keep hearing that morning sickness reduces miscarriage risk by 30%! Would love to hear from some people a bit further along who have made it ok and didn't really have any symptoms. There's nothing I can really do is there apart from running out and buying lots of CB dating tests, which don't seem to be that accurate anyway! I just feel so normal! Boobs fine, no sickness, no pains - just odd twinge. x3 hpt positive and period 5 days late but nothing else to go on. Anyone else the same???

My friend has had two children and says if she hasn't grown a bump, she honestly wouldn't have known she was pregnant. Two babies, none of the classic symptoms either time.

I did have morning sickness with both pregnancies (DS1 is two, I'm 30weeks with DS2) but with DS1, I grew four bra cup sizes by 8 weeks and had to go up a size in trousers. With this pregnancy, my boobs didn't grow till much, much later and I'm still in my normal clothes at 30weeks. So it's been totally different in terms of symptoms each time.

My morning sickness really kicked in with a fury at about 7 weeks so not as early as you are. Incidentally I've had morning sickness with all my miscarriages too, so I think you shouldn't put too much faith in your symptoms at this stage.

Try not to worry (although I know that's hard!!!)

I'm on my third pregnancy - no real symptoms in first trimester apart from tiredness. Trimester 2 - stacked on weight quickly and bump appeared v quickly all times. Trimester 3 - look like I have a spacehopper down my top, some digestive issues but otherwise no real symptoms - so I just think I was quite lucky.

I had no symptoms at all, except for the lack of periods. In fact I had so few I thought I'd turn up to my 12 week scan and they would laugh me out of the room.

Congratulations, and best of luck!!!

Make the most of it, chances are they will arrive with a vengeance! Grin I got my BFP at 12DPO and didn't have a single symptom until about 6.5 weeks but then the sickness arrived and I have been feeling like shit terrible ever since! I am 15+4 now and they are just starting to alleviate. You may be one of the lucky few who don't get any but I reckon it's just a bit too early. Congratulations and good luck!

Congratulations!

I was exactly the same, until 9 weeks...I wished I hadn't worried as MS arrived full force and didn't go for 10 weeks!

Enjoy, try not to worry too much!

4 weeks is quite early to have symptoms, I think. IME they'll turn up in a few weeks. I was never physically sick, just felt grim, exhausted, and suddenly needed to eat all the time.

This is all very reassuring...I'll try not to worry about it and just enjoy it...

Congratulations! So great to read your post - I feel exactly the same! I'm around 6 weeks with first (and much longed for) pregnancy, and no real symptoms, just a little more tired than usual. I think we just have to relax and enjoy it! Good luck x

amiready Congratulation.

In my first pregnancy I didn't have any symptoms to begin with, first sign that I had a baby growing within me apart from the positive pregnancy test was when I saw the scan image, the bump and indigetion was really all I had throughtout the whole pregnancy and obviously that was much later.

Expecting dc2 now and having all sorts of symptoms this time.

Congratulations!

I was exactly the same as you and was so worried by my lack of symptoms that I had an early scan at 9 weeks just to reassure myself that there was actually a baby growing inside me! He is now a healthy 10month old and I had a stress and symptom free pregnancy. Next time I aim to just enjoy it and realise how lucky I am instead of worrying.

I posted a similar question a few weeks ago, apart from tiredness I didn't feel pregnant at all. It is very worrying isn't it? I am eagerly awaiting my first scan as some days I don't believe there is any baby.

I got good advice on here, and also looked elsewhere online and it seems every pregnancy is so different there is no 'normal'. Some people are just lucky and don't suffer sickness etc.

I am 8 and a half weeks and only over the last 4 days or so have been suffering awful dizzy spells and headaches. I was actually sick several times this morning which came as a shock as I assumed I had escaped. More googling revealed lots of people whose morning sickness came on much later than what is considered normal. It could be a virus I suppose, but just be aware it could come on when you least expect it!

Relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

No symptoms at all with my first pg, and DD now 2 and a half. I too worried myself into a cocked hat about the lack of symptoms. Am now 16 weeks with DC2 and have symptoms coming out of every orifice apart from my ears. Oh the irony! Congratulations on the PG.

I am 8 weeks, and searched for similar posts on here at the beginning as i had no symptoms and I had them from 4 wks with my first pg. No tiredness or even sore boobs this time. Then bang on 6 weeks (average time for ms to start apparently) it kicked in. Now I'm sick as a dog and completely unhinged emotionally, and always tired. (Though boobs are still fine!). It's really early days yet, eat healthily whilst you still have an appetite I say!

It's early days- for me sickness kicked in at 5 wks 4 days and at 15 wks 3 days is still with me. I would do anything for this to stop!
Symptons may come but would be lovely for you if they didn't. Good luck

I know - its very odd - hard to believe anything's going on in there at all! Got so busy at work today almost forgot I was pregnant! I work with the public and one of them got me all riled and my heart was beating like crazy and I suddenly thought - oh no - this will be bad for the baby! Can't wait to have a scan. Going to see GP on Thurs for booking in. Just taking one day at a time, really! Congratulations to you! We must be due almost the same time - have you found the Sept 2013 antenatal club thread? It's really good.

I've got my first doctors appointment on Monday. Im reading a book that says the doctors are all pretty relaxed until 8 weeks or so. Weird as I feel like a lot more should be happening but it isn't. Online I worked out my due date is 10th Sept. Should really check out the antenatal club - do you have a link pls? I feel really tired in the evening but thats all really. Time seems to be going really slooooowwwwwlllllllyyyyyy.............. :)

I was on here about 12 weeks ago asking the same thing... Paid for a private scan because I was convinced there was something wrong as I wasn't sick or ill. I'm 18 weeks now and really enjoying being pregnant so far!
