PG & feel woozy. Should I worry or is it just my cold?

Have had a cold for days. Has included blocked ears, have been feeling very strange! But not out of control at all.

Just went to put DS back to bed, and on getting up felt very woozy indeed. I've never had a cold do that to me! I've been feeling a bit off balance because of my ears being blocked, but this was much more intense, like being drunk. It lasted about 5 minutes.

It's alright now I've sat down.

Just wanted to check, this is just the cold, right? Being dizzy while pregnant isn't a warning sign of something bad is it?

I've had plenty to drink today. Not sleeping great because of the coughing.

DS is in bed, DP is at the shop.

Hey - sorry, can't give you an informed response, but sounds like you just need a good night sleep. Your body does strange things when pregnant and doesnt react in the same way as usual. Hope someone more expert comes along soon...

I have just had something very similar over the past week. Actually fainted last Friday then spent a few days feeling like you describe. I had full-on room spinning symptoms as well. GP said it was probably an inner ear infection and put me on some antibiotics. Feeling much better now after 3 days of taking them. Be careful if you're moving around, you don't want to lose your balance and fall.

For me, pregnancy does loads of weird things to me. I was always feeling woozy and having pains and feeling weird and off balance and all sorts! If you still feel like it tomorrow, though, or if it gets any worse maybe you should go to the doc or midwife just to have blood pressure checked etc.

Thanks for the replies :)

Thanks for the push MrsChristmas. We're going to be away from the 23rd. Probably a good idea to get checked out before we go.

I went to the chemist to get something for my cough yesterday (it's keeping me up at night and my muscles hurt from coughing!) and they said all I can have when pregnant is honey and lemon. Sad

I've had exactly the same thing. Started with a sore throat and then lots of pressure in my ears. On Friday I had a nap and when I woke I tried to go to the bathroom. I ended up being very dizzy and stumbling into walls on the way there. DH had to help me back to bed. My theory is it's something to do with fluid in the ears or something?

I had all weekend in bed and I'm feeling much better now although the blocked ear and cough remain.
