sorry, just need to get this out before i burst!

why do some people just think that they know everything??? am 30 weeks pregnant with DC2, my friend has just had her DC2 and is already giving me unwanted advice/expert knowledge on what to/not to do!!

I had it first time round with our boys (my son, 8 weeks younger than hers) i dont think i can keep my gob shut this time round!! am proberbly being mega over sensitive at the moment but its not just the trivial things, she's trying to make major decisions for me, telling me im wrong if i decide to do something different to her!! like she's some kind of expert because she did it a matter of weeks before me, why do people do this????? how can i make it clear that if i wanted her advice i would ask for it without being rude and patronising like she is???

feel better already!!!

aww hun, your friend probably just tryin to help but i can see why you would find it patronising, my mum was like this, try telling her that you want to do things your own way. just because she finds one way of doing things easier it doesnt mean you will. tell her you want to make your own mistakes so you can learn from them. or just tell her that youve done it once before so you know what your doing. Advice is fine, telling you your choices are wrong and arguing is not. Either smile and nod or avoid.
