I'm 5+3 been so ill past few days vomiting. I went to see doctor she tested my urine and said I had ketones in it, she sent me to hospital and they checked urine again and put me on drip.
Just not sure what it all means and will it affect my baby?

Dehydration, the presence of ketones means your body may start to burn muscle. You are in the right place, the drip will rehydrate you. They may keep you in overnight or possibly longer.

Can't add to what kellestar said, she out it succinctly! It's a risk in early pregnancy that you simply can't keep enough water down and it becomes a vicious cycle. I hope you feel better and get it go home soon.

good to hear. I've got AN clinic on Friday again, checking my ketones. I've been rather pukey lately. 10 weeks in and it's so different from my last pg. I had it explained last week, as they were unsure about admitting me.

That's great, sounds like they'll rehydrate you and hopefully the anti-sickness will keep you in a place where you can stay hydrated.
