Anyone need to have a few anti-D injections in addition to the standard ones they give at 28/34 weeks?

Have had a bleed and a couple of bumps and so far have had 3 injections and have not yet had the routine ones that they do towards the end of pregnancy.

I understand the importance of it and that it is best to have it than not but feel like I am the most injected woman in the history of the world!

ANyone else had loads?

Hi whyso, I've had 2 so far and wil be having another at 28 weeks (am 24+5 weeks now). I had one after I tripped up some stairs and banged my tummy (not hard) and another yesterday from having some pinky/browny discharge after sex. Both times the midwives didn't seem to know whether or not it was really necessary but wanted to err on the side of caution. It is a pain though isn't it! I don't think my boss beleives just how many appointments I've had!

Hi a worrytrend, it is a right pain having to have them. Hoping I manage to avoid anymore before the routine jab. Being clumsy and rhesus neg is not a good combo

I've only had one so far after a CVS.

However I'm getting my DH to get his blood type tested so if he's negative too I won't need to have any more. You could consider this if you're worried? (Chances are he'll be positive though, most people are...)

Re the bleeding after sex... if this happens again, it might be worth getting a MW to look at your cervix in case it's actually just bleeding from the cervix (a cervical erosion/ectropion can cause this esp in pregnancy) in which case you wouldn't need the jab as it's unrelated to the baby.
