Impatient person, need some advice!

Hi all,

I hate this 2 week wait thing you need to do before you can take a pregnancy test! Really hoping I am pregnant again, I had a miscarriage in March at 6 weeks. I waited for my period and then took an ovulation check to make sure we DTD on my 2 fertile days so am hoping and praying it has worked. Stupid thing is now I am terrified that if I am pregnant, because of what happened before, I am so worried that it will happen again - not sure I could go through it again. Is anyone else in the same boat and when is the earliest you would get symptoms of pregnancy - I feel sicky and have done for the past 2 days - I feel like I did before when I was pregnant but not sure if I am just imagining it?

thanks!

x

I hate to say this but I'm afraid you have to wait. Isn't it just the longest wait in the world ever. I bought the early tests and they came back negative, took me 7 days to get a positive result after I was due and it feels like the longest wait in the world!

I don't have any experience of miscarriages so I'm afraid I can't really give you any advice. My mum had one between me and my sister and she always said that the timing couldn't have been right and that if she hadn't she wouldn't have had my sister so every cloud has a silver lining. I can't say it won't happen again and there are women out there who it happens to more than it should ever happen and there is no way of being able to understand why it happens because it's just not fair. However you obviously have a DP/DH who loves you very much who helped you through last time and will be there for you whatever happens. That being said I'm sure everything will be fine.

Remember when you do take the test, take it early in the morning!

If its any consolation I had a Mc at 6 weeks in Jan and am now 10 weeks pg again. Both times, in the run-up to the day my period was due I definitely had symptoms but they were different. First time: very very tired and period type pains. This time: not tired, no period pains, but a weird tight sore feeling in my lower back.

This time I did an early test, 2 days before period was due. Got a negative and promptly fell around everywhere weeping in hysterics, saying I was sure I would never get pg again. Then, 3 days later when my period hadn't turned up I did another early test an saw a fair line! The next morning did a CB digital to be sure: and lo and behold - it said "pregnant"!

Don't give up hope and I would say try. Or to cave and do an early test before you period due date - they don't always work!

Crossing my fingers you have a BFP this month xx

thanks and congratulations - lovely news for you! don't know if I can be patient enough to wait for my period due date (although due to mc, I'm not sure if I'm back to my usual 27 day cycle but hoping I am)...will take a first response test and hope for the best, failing that will just need to wait and see :) x
