TMI - Piles :(

Gawd blimey.

This is my second DC and I've recently discovered I have piles. Lovely things they are. Thing is, I'm not constipated or anything at the moment.

So do you think it's the sheer pressure of her against all my bits and bobs that's causing it? I can't think what else it would be. They don't hurt at all, and they only ever 'pop out' if I bend over!

I cannot believe I've posted this! Most embarrasing post ever! I don't see my midwife for another two weeks, so just thought if anyone else is experiencing the same thing?

I'm 29 weeks today :)

Yes me [covering face with embarressment]. I've just got them in the last two day (and constipation is definately not my problem at the mo. Blush)
I'm 36 + 2 weeks and most definately think it's the pressure as this baby feels like it's sitting between my thighs!!
Have you used cream Blush. Mine hurt but the cream has worked a treat even in 24hrs.

Isn't pregnancy great?? Grin

I also have a caulibottom and am 29wks! Mine don't seem to want to go back in at all, they def. feel afixed to the outside. They don't itch, or hurt, but do occasionally bleed if my stools are a bit too hard. But yes, regardless of the lcoation I think it's the added pressure on your abdomen that's causing them. I'm also not constipated.
I've been bathing with tidman's bath salts and using preparation H too. I have heard you can use anusol, but haven't investigated that myself yet. Also, if they're very troublesome then you can have them removed I think. Other tips are to up your fluid intake and to sit on your birthing ball and not a chair if they're causing irritation/pain.
