Chronic back pain

i was wondering if anyone had gone through pregnancy with chronic back pain?

Im currently 25 weeks pregnant with baby number 1 and i am extremley over the moon. I have had chronic back pain for more than 10 years (im 25) and been on strong pain killers for years. Ive since reduced these dramaticly and due to come off them on monday. Im wondering how the hell im going to cope (the thought of holding my perfect baby in my arms is getting me through) but as the weeks go on im getting more scared.

Ive been given the choice of c section or natural birth (of which i would sooner do). But there are pro and cons for both of these. Ive been told since i was young that i would have to have a c section so having a choice has both been a good and bad suprise.

So my questions are;
has anyone gone through a simular experience and how did your pregnancy end? (c section, natural etc)
Any advise on how to keep my back healthy during the final 15 weeks and birth (as id like to work until i can)

Thanks for reading my very garbled post, any help would be greatly taken. :)

Hi I'm in the same boat i've suffered for 5 years with lower back pain am 28 weeks and after having a terrible time the first 22 weeks am getting better.

Best advice is ask to be signed off work if you do work i have been for 6 weeks and the difference is unbelievable i wanted to keep working but decided i'd rather keep myself healthy so i can take care of my baby myself and not be in so much pain i can't manage, I have also just started going to the osteopath and has made a huge difference i honestly can't believe it but it is not cheap.
