Weird twinges low down - UTI? 11 weeks plus 4

I am having odd very low down twinges - not quite pain. It feels a bit like when have had cystitis in the past but I am not sure. No pain when peeing or need to pee feeling like have had with cystitis.

Its also not that crampy period pain feeling.

Just called my doc and had a voicemail saying they are closed for staff training.

Any ideas please wise ones? Thank you so much.

Normal! it's your ligaments stretching, they can become quite sudden and shocking as pregnancy goes on. they can be worrying, but its just your body doing what it's meant to.

speak to your gp/midwife to reassure you - but I'm 99% sure it's nothing.

Thank you so much for responding. It doesn't feel muscular at all - but then I have never had a stretching uterus/ligaments before so have no comparison!

Have been reading about UTIs and getting worried but cant get appt with GP for urine test to reassure myself.

When I first got them I thought I might be miscarrying :( I certainly didn't think it was muscle pain. If you think about something very small stretching out, do you think the pain could be associated with that? It makes sense to me now - little aches, sudden short pangs etc?

Glad you are going to see your gp, do you have a midwife? They are usually better at pregnancy pains.

Google is awful for diagnosing yourself (at least you only think its uti and not cancer!) Personally, I don't think your symptons look like UTI at all - no pain, or change in your wee (other than a certain little baby pressing on your bladder...)?

Thank you. Hopefully am just being neurotic as am counting down days to first scan on Monday. I will see how I get on tonight and try GP again in the morn. Swapping midwives at the mo and am yet to meet the new one so a bit messy.

Thanks for the advice.

At this stage of pg your uterus is stretching loads, and will be pressing on your bladder causing UTI type feelings - did for me anyway! Plus all the stretching of ligaments. But of course you should call your midwife, they're there to reassure panicked mums Smile
