Pregnancy

Is there any better word than normal?

In everyday life 'normal' sort of implies boring, doesn't it? Or at least not special in any way.
But when it was applied to the little 12 week thing kicking around inside of me this morning, it's just become my absolute favourite word.

Here's to everyone's scans being described as normal! Wine!

Normal and average are words I avoid in my non pregnancy speech, but do seem to be hard to avoid in pregnancy.

Glad your scan went well :)

Indeed....all you ever want to hear is that your baby is normal. So glad your scan went well and here's to a normal pregnancy for you :)

Thank you Smile Yes I look forward to everything in my pg being as boring, normal and average as possible. And even dull. I like dull now too.

I agree - I joked with my parents that it's the first time in my life that I am aiming to be boringly average in all things...

Glad it all went well for you Kenobi. I had my 12 week scan today and also things looked fine (although it is aparantly my 13+4 week scan!) It was so lovely to actually have it confirmed that there is definately something wriggling around in there and it has 2 arms and 2 legs and a heartbeat! Makes it much more real and I haven't made it up! Just got to wait for the nuchal blood test results to come back next week (bit of a mix up getting them done so only had it done today) which will hopefully be 'normal'. The NT measurement was fine and all my other bloods came back normal too!

Hope we all enjoy a relaxed normal pregancy :)
