If a baby is born on 1 September does that mean he/she will be the oldest in their school year?

Whereas is they were born on 31 August then they will be youngest in the school year above?

(I'm from overseas... just getting my head around the school thing!)

Yep. My ds was due on 31st August but born on 5th Sept, so he will be one of the oldest in his year group
