I am 32+6 with my 3rd baby (so should know better !)
I have an anterior placenta, so the baby's movements have always been quite sporadic and faint- I can go the whole working day without feeling any movements at all, and when I do they are only little 'thumps'. She is most active morning and night.
Anyway, yesterday evening, when I would normally feel movements, all I could feel were tightenings across the top/middle of my bump. This morning I was woken up by these tightenings, but I've still had no other definite thumps (that I am aware of). The tightenings are quite intense and make me feel a bit queasy. Added to that, I think the baby may have moved as it hurts to bend forward, like I am squashing something and it feels sharp. In this respect, it is similar to when I was carrying dd1 who was breech, so when I leant forward I was leaning on her head!
So, does this all sound normal? Do you think the baby has just moved position? I wonder why I have switched movements for tightenings?
