skiing post baby

I am going to the US three months after my baby is born for a wedding, and we were thinking about the likelihood of doing a bit of skiing over a couple of days (one to two hours at a time while my baby is with his grandma ? certainly no longer ? and gentle). I realise this is highly dependent on me NOT having a c-section/getting ripped to shreds during the birth, but if I get lucky, is this a crazy plan?

I am reasonably fit and ski quite a lot. Normally I wouldn?t think about it so early, but we need to be in the States at that time, the opportunity is there to and I love skiing.

Anyone done this kind of thing? Your naively, etc....

If you're BF, your ligaments might still be a bit loose so take it easy. I found, even at 6 months, I couldn't do moguls).

As soon as you can, get fit. I had a CS and was back running at 4 weeks (plenty of brisk walking everyday until then).

At 3 months your baby might not be happy being left with a stranger and you might not feel comfortable either....... (this was my rate limiter!)

Thank you - that really helps. I am going to try to arrange to go somewhere where there will be a plan B, but that gives me confidence!
