Itching question

There was a thread yesterday that got me worried. I have been itching at night not every night. However last night I was awake for hours itching but this could have been psychological and related to thinking about the thread.
Anyway I remember when I saw the midwife originally and she discussed when you should contact midwife etc she said I would know, the itching is severe and I would want to rip my skin off.
It isn't this bad or anywhere near really, it is just annoying and prior to the thread I had put it down to being over tired when going to bed.
The advise in my notes is to contact CM, which I am happy to do, but they aren't available all the time and will have to leave a message. So wanted to ask on here while I wait for them to return my call.

Hi - I phoned my CM last week about this, and then rang maternity triage.

They weren't too worried - just asked me lots of questions, and then reassured me that it was probably down to the heat. She also suggested that I could go to my GP to get a simple test to exclude OC.

The itching has subsided - and I still get a bit itchy on my chest, but my skin just seems a bit sensitive there.

It is worth checking it out, as when I posted about this, I'm sure that there was someone who didn't get severe itching, but still had OC. I would probably have gone to the GP if I had continued to itch all over for a few more days.

Hope you get it sorted.
