What if anything do you write and where to alert midwives etc that you hve filled it in?

Sorry 3rd pregnancy but 1st birth plan, and concerned it will be missed and I will be too busy to make sure it is looked and and followed where possible.

In my experience, after they've checked the vital bits of your notes (medical history, health during the pregnancy, etc) they turn to that page and check it. I didn't need to prompt the MW last time round as she had already read it.

Get your birth partner to show it to them and make sure they read the important points (highlight them).

I read somewhere that you should fill it in and have extra copies to hand. Did I? Not a clue, I can't remember, but if you have an extra copy slipped into that page, they will be forced to look at it.

I found my midwifes (I had at least 3) were excellent and did read it.

Keep it brief - much more chance of it being digested.
