my little one ( or i suspect rather large one) seems to be getting more wriggly rather than less! Im 37+5 just wondered if anyone else this at end. Everything i read warns of less movement not more!

Ditto have found no let up in the wriggling and 39 + 1 now and still rocking around in there. I don't think anyone told him that he is more cramped!!

YES! Im 36+3 and baby has gone crackers - the squirming and wriggling really hurts at times, belly's all full of moving lumps and bumps!

I told my HV that I was sure it was getting uncomfortable in there with less room to move around, and she replied, " ooh no its lovely and comfy in there, best place for it at this stage :) " I was gutted, was hoping she'd say it would be an early birth haha

Me too! 37 + 2 and I got the kicking of my life this evening. I am a bit cross with him now:) Seriously feels like gymnastic training for the outside world. More uncomfortable rather than painful, but bloody uncomfortable.

I have the same and I'm overdue! My MW told me it's a big myth that babies move less at the end and they should be moving just as much as always - the movement may just be different, more wriggles and less kicks and any change / slowdown should be checked.

DH suggested we name this one after Jackie Chan. Nuff said. 37+1.

Glad im not alone then! It feels really big and strong now although I have never been pregnant before so don't have much to compare to.

Same here; I guess because it's bigger you can feel it more. My MW also said it wasn't true they move less. But it is true that it is now less kicks and more massive rolls that make the entire belly move rather than little bumps. I'm 38 weeks and still getting lots of movement. Hopefully it means she's a little one rather than a 10 pounder...
