I am late for my period but pregnancy tests are showing negative. The condom split on dh and I last friday so not even 2 weeks ago yet. Is it to early to show pregnant on a test, even though my period is late?

Possibly - test again tomorrow morning, and then again after the weekend if your period is still missing?

I just expected it to show positive straight away as they all say from the first day of missed period

It depends when you ovulate. If you ovulate late in your cycle then the first day of your missed period is stll very early on. Echo Fliss give it a couple of days and try again!

The small print always says something along lines of works from day period is due in x % of women so they can take some time to work.

I used one designed to detect pregnancy 5 days before a missed period and I still only got the faintest of lines when I was a day late.

Try testing first thing in the morning as there are supposed to be a higher concentration of pregnancy hormones in your urine then.

Hope you get the result that you want.

I only got a positive after 20 days late for my period and even then it was feint. (I have yet to have a dating scan though...I might have ovulated late)
