I'm expecting my 4th, but it's the 5th between dh & I. I have 2 x ds's with xh, dh has dd with his ex and we have a dd together..... Still with me?!

I don't mind what we have but I know dh would love a son, and we'll def be finding out. Didn't have the option with the boys, but found out with dd and loved knowing. Also, I think it's another girl so want dh prepared!!!

Having a girl after two boys was a shock..... you have to embrace the pink sparkliness Grin! Are you veering one way or another about finding out?

Congratulations, OP!

A friend of mine said that you have to ask yourself honestly if you have a preference. If you do, then find out, so you can give yourself time to come to terms with 'disappointment' (sounds dreadful, I don't know how else to put it though!)

If you really don't mind, then I say don't! Such a lovely surprise!

I would only find out if your boys are particularly bothered either way.

I have two girls and have just had a baby boy. All were surprises (gender-wise, not the "I popped to the loo with tummy pains and hey presto 'here's a baby'" type way :o

Congratulations by the way - am v. jealous of you having a fourth :)

I had 3 boys (and knew with each pregnancy) and so very much wanted to know with my 4th - partly because I had before and found it helpful and partly because I am fundamentally nosy. I was psyched up for another boy and finding the whole 4 boy concept quite exciting - my nhs m/w ranted at me for wanting to know and wouldn't tell but it would have been helpful for planning purposes. Was invited for a free 4D scan by dh's colleague and it's as well I was lying down when she announced that dc4 was actually dd1. Completely delighted and tbh I liked having 18 weeks to get used to the idea rather than thrown in at the deep end! She is completely delicious and leads all 3 boys a merry dance.

I agree with Hannah

I didn't find out with my two boys but decided to with DC3. I had a feeling it was a girl but wasnt sure if this was a 'wanting'. I thought if it was a boy i needed to know now to prepare and likewise i it was a girl. When the sonographer said it was a girl i burst out crying. She's lush as are the boys!
