It's my 1st pregnancy on NHS. Last had a scan at 24 wks and all was well. Now 29 wks and haven't been to the hospital since and still not booked for any appts. Wondering is this normal and when the next appointment would typically take place.

It should say in your notes, I had scan at 23 weeks and just had my community midwives at 26 weeks.
Maybe give your hospital or doctors a call.

Hi Lynne

I'm 30 weeks with my first, and my midwife said I'll be seen at 31, 34, 36, 38, 40 and 41 weeks.

Are you booked in with a community midwife? I would get in touch asap with them or your gp.

If this is a second or more pregnancy (even if the 1st on the NHS) then appointments differ as government guidelines say women who have already been pregnant and are low risk only need to see the midwife seven times(!) in the entire pregnancy.

I last saw the community midwife at 16 weeks, my next appointment is 28 weeks (this week), then 34 weeks, 36 weeks, 38 weeks, and 40 weeks.

Your blood tests all need to be repeated around 28 weeks so it may be worth getting in touch with the community midwife to organise this, if you don't have a number then your GP surgery will be able to give you it.

my notes have a section in for a 28 week appt.

I think its normal to have bloods etc done at 28 weeks, at least thats what midwife implied to me,

I have seen midwive every 3 weeks since 13 weeks, and also at 9 and 5 weeks. Its my 1st pregnancy and uncomplicated, everything going along as it should so far.
Im 28 weeks now and have an appt this week.

You need to book the appointments, they dont normally send them automatically.

With all my pregnancies all CMW appointments are amde by me, my midwife tells me when she wants to see me and I book in before I leave unless it is weeks away then I ring nearer the time.

Hospital (Consultant appointments) are made before I leave and put on my notes.

Maybe contact your midwife and ask when she needs to see you again.

I also have blood at 28 weeks (one lot) well have with previous 2, and presume I will with this one in a couple of weeks.

My notes say 28,31,34,36,38,40,41

I have to book my own in, they don't write or make them for you.

The gap between 16 and 24 seems epic, but they get more frequent as time goes on I guess.

They step up in the last tri, particularly if there are reasons for concern. I'm seeing someone every week now (I'm 35 weeks) as my BP is high. My midwife tells me that she wants to see me and it's up to me to make the appointment.

Thanks all. Clearly I need to call. For all my previous appointments, I was told when they would happen then have always received a letter in the post each time, so that's what I have been expecting.
