Title says it really. I am coming up to 15 weeks and sometimes I look in the mirror and definitely look pregnant and other times I don't.

Odd!

i didn't start to show until i was about 21 weeks, but i didn't know i was pregnant until 19 weeks so that might be why. As soon as i found out my tummy just suddenly sprung out.

About 8 or 9 weeks. I was utterly horrified and when the midwife could feel my uterus at a 10wk appointment and confirmed it was definitely the pregnancy making the roundness and not bloat I thought it was twins (as did she). It wasn't. I was pretty slim, size 8, toned stomach and people started asking if I had 'any news'. I was in maternity clothes by 11 weeks but then stayed the same between about 16 and 24 weeks. My colleague had no bump until 32 weeks and even then she was tiny. But she's tall and willowy and I'm short as a short thing which made a huge difference.

Everybody's different.

At about 11 weeks but only to me, was about 16 weeks before others noticed and at 26 am feeling quite huge even though people say it is a neat little bump. Was a size 8 before so keep underestimating size of gaps to squeeze through at the mo. I looked at some web sites that have loads of pregnancy photos, choose the ones to match your date and you will be amazed at the varying sizes from almost concave to looking 8 months all at 15 weeks - helped reassure me that my progress was normall. Congrats!

I can still up my jeans but more so in the morning than the afternoon...if that makes sense!

The books I have say I should show at 20 weeks! I am a bit early then.

i went into maternity trousers at 12 weeks

even more shocking as id lost a stone between weeks 5 and 9 with HG, and was still being horrendously sick, yet bump grew regardless.

And depsite the sickness my boobs had grown from 34c to 38e by 8 weeks Shock

i was showing at 16 weeks but not in maternity clothes. I am originally a size 10/12, 9 and a half stone, and 5ft 2 though.

This is my first and I just kind of 'popped out' about maybe a week and a half ago. I am 24 weeks. I haven't really put on any weight yet.

DH and I thought I was definitely showing from about 13 weeks... but friends didn't have a clue. I told work at 16 weeks and they were very surprised, said I didn't look preggers at all. People started offering me a seat on the tube from 19 weeks (depending on what I was wearing) so it must have been obvious by then. But that said when I look back to my weekly pictures, as much as I felt super pregnant at the time, I just took a bit tubby :)

I was trying to keep it secret at work for as long as possible, and I felt it became impossible to do that at 17 weeks.

The second one! showed at 9 wks Confused

I'm 11 weeks and I made a massive 'show' this week. People think it's twins or I'm further on. The MW says I am 12 weeks on Monday!?!?

STILL waiting for my scan appointment!

Bandwitch · 18/06/2011 15:12

I agree that it might be harder to hide it as long if you're small. I am only 5'2" and the bump had nowhere to go! BUT OUT.

I'm just coming up to 5 months with number 2, and have already put on 8 inches around my waist.

About 26 weeks when people who didnt know could tell i was pregnant. I could tell from about 20 weeks that my stomach was changing. Im now 18 weeks with number 4 and have been able to tell since 8 weeks, people at work guessed around the same time.

About 24-25 weeks. I was in normal jeans with an elastic round the buttons til then. Even 3 weeks before I was due someone asked me was the baby asleep upstairs as the house was quiet Hmm

Truffkin · 18/06/2011 17:59

I'm now 18 weeks and have bit of a 'bump' starting to show, but then I had a bit of a tummy to get pushed out beforehand! I also lost weight in my first 16 weeks due to lots of sickness. It does depend a bit on what I'm wearing and also, is bigger at the end of the day compared with the morning.

Can't wait until I get to the stage when people offer me a seat on the tube Grin

I couldn't fasten my jeans from about 9 weeks so bought a bump band, at 16 weeks you could see it if I pulled in the flab above it and now at 21 weeks it's getting obvious enough for strangers at work to notice it but I still look fat as I was carrying a bit of weight to begin with so that's all just been pushed up and is sitting above the bump!

As a larger lady, I assumed I was still just looking fat at 13 and a bit weeks, although I must admit I am no longer wearing control pants/tights etc so was aware that my belly was a bit more prominent than normal. Wink

However yesterday I had a massive lunch with a friend and then went shopping. We stopped so I could use the loo in the shopping centre and there was a huge queue. I was mortified when the cleaner singled me out to offer me the disabled loo (although very grateful!). So apparently I am showing!

I've actually lost weight, not through sickness, but because I'm eating better. But all the weight has come off my backside and back, which I guess enhances the belly! Grin

mree · 19/06/2011 18:01

I'm 16+5 with first, and have quite a definite bump which is much more prominent at the end of the day! I wear scrubs for work which hide a multitude of sins, but people have started commenting on it over the last week or so, so looks like I'm showing even with my uniform on. Feel HUGE (and was a 16 to start with), but haven't actually put any weight on, I know I'm going to get a lot bigger though!

am coming up for 12 weeks and have nothing but a little pot which I'm pretty sure is just blubber from being too sick to go to the gym. But I am 5ft7 tall. My friend who is about 5ft2 had a very definite bump so I am hoping it is just because mine has more space to stretch out. The MW said my uterus would start to 'pop out' from above my pelvic bone in next couple of weeks, which made me feel quite ill!
