This Thursday had CVS done as scan + Blood test results were showing very high risk for Down's syndrome. Although the scan showed absolutely no bad signs (the nasal bone formatting fine, the translucency was measured at around 2mm), but last week received a horrifying call from the hospital saying that I have 1:5 risk for Down's. It is such a shock and such a scary experience. We made a difficult decision to go for CVS. The procedure itself wasn't that bad or painful, but now the wait time for the results is the hardest part. Can't sleep, can't eat and so freighting to think what we'll do if the results will be bad. With all my heart trying to push away bad thoughts and hoping for the best results, but it's so hard to do and the time seems stopped! So wanted to share this experience hoping that maybe there are some other mums waiting for their CVS results and this way maybe the wait could be a little bit easier by sharing our thoughts and feelings.
