Having a scan at 28 and 34 weeks, want to keep the sex a surprise.

if you have had a later scan was the sex more obvious than at the 20 week scan?

It was hard not to ask the sex at my 20 week scan and was so relieved when I came out not knowing.

My consultant wants me to have 2 more scans at 28 and 34 weeks, I'm really worried the sex might be obvious.

If anything you see less as baby is more squashed the further on you go. What will they be looking at? If it's growth scans they'll measure the head and tummy so won't even be in that area. I had growth scans at 29 and 37 weeks and didn't see a thing - despite looking, couldn't help myself trying to peek!

I had growth scans at 28, 30 & 34 weeks & still don't know the sex! :) Just tell the sonographer you don't want to know & I'm sure they'll be kind enough to avoid that area!

DP & I were jokingly saying that we'll get to our next growth scan at 38 weeks (two weeks time) & LO will be there showing off Grin

Sorry, I had a scan at 34 weeks, we hadn't been able to find out the sex at 20 weeks, and by 34 weeks it was rather apparent (even to me and DH) that DS was a boy. Think they will have to be very careful or you will need to look away if you don't want to know (we did!)

Oh good, that's nice to know, yes it's for growth, I was surprised that she wanted to check the growth tho as it's all measuring ok, she said it was because my other dcs were small, all just over 6lb.

At mine she stopped between his legs, with everything on show and said "Did you want to know the sex?" to which I replied, "Well yes and he's a boy isn't he?"
