I have been eating non stop for three days and it must stop!
is anyone else eating like a horse?

I am worried because at this rate I will be huge... am only 13/14 weeks and my belly is busting out already. last pregnancy I didnt show until I was 6 months.

I dont remember being this hungry all the time... please tell me it is normal

It makes me really sad when people use the word starving so lightly.

Yes it is normal. Go eat.

I was ravenous too, mamaesi - it was my no.1 pregnancy symptom. My tip would be AVOID TOAST. oh, and don't forget, second pregnancies tend to show sooner, just because everything's a little looser. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. wink

My first two pregnancies I ate normally! I had two girlies. This pregnancy I cannot throw enough food down my throat! And I've just posted too, I'm 30 weeks and haven't gained weight yet!! So I'm going to keep eating!! smile !!!

Coppernoddle Sat 28-May-11 15:28:32

I think our bodies are good at telling us what we need. As long as you're eating healthily, you should be alright...

nickelbabe Sat 28-May-11 15:39:03

ooh, me, me, me!!

excpet, it's calmed down recently.

but yep, starving.

copper - don't say that - i don't want a boy sad

nickelbabe Sat 28-May-11 15:40:25

anyway, if you're worried about putting on weight - eat fruit and bread without butter and love fat spread.
that'll fill you without fattening you (speaking the voice of experience here - too many biscuits until I discovered the cream crackers with low fat philly)

nickelbabe Sat 28-May-11 15:41:16

me again.
also, remember your muscles know where to go this time, and you will show sooner.

lolajane2009 Sat 28-May-11 15:59:56

i go through times of hunger and times of no appetite... i am 24 + 1 and trying to fight the hunger when all i can think about is food...

i've also got hubby to hide the scales so i dont get obsessive.

Scheherezadea Sat 28-May-11 16:02:13

Yes me!

Although I then eat loads and get really bad indigestion, yuck!

MrsVidic Sat 28-May-11 16:45:19

Ahhhhrrgg im always hungry!!! Trying to eat healthy snacks like carrot sticks, apples, cereal bars etc but cheesy beans are my weakness!!!! Yummy yummy, just the thought makes my mouth water lol!!
Is it true if you crave sweet stuff its a boy and if you crave savoury then its a girl? (might have got that the wrong way round haha). im currently 14 weeks and would really like a boy xx p.s im off to make some cheesy beans xxx

curleywurley2 Sat 28-May-11 19:07:29

pregnantmimi Sun 29-May-11 00:48:56

i put on a stone and a half in 8 weeks could not stop eating even thou i felt sick ok now at 10 weeks its calmed down xx

Yukana Sun 29-May-11 09:40:48

Getting the same feeling here! What I used to eat pre-pregnancy (1-2 meals a day, I just wasn't hungry!) can't fill me at all! I must be eating about 2-3 large meals a day at the moment, and have to regularly snack otherwise I get so hungry it actually hurts! 29 weeks at the moment.

davidtennantsmistress Sun 29-May-11 10:06:53

I was ravenous yes around 17 weeks (co insided with mega teeth problems so couldn't eat properly but was having 2 huge meals a day plus breakfast & snacks.

has now subsided majorly and am lucky to be able to manage one medium meal a day with snacks. I've had major things for cheesy jacket potatoes, cuecumber salad cream and crunchy peppers. totally random, but the sandwich van chap knows i'm PG so will gladly make me up whatever I ask for no matter how odd. blush <recalls the cheesy chips with cuecumber peppers and salad cream on top.>

booksandchoc Tue 31-May-11 11:42:39

me me me and im only 6 weeks! but i cant ever find anything i want to eat and its driving me insane. i end up eating because i need to and not enjoying anything at all sad

nickelbabe Tue 31-May-11 11:52:33

you need to sort out your snack box.

When you're not hungry, go for a quick shop and get lots of things you think you'd like to eat.
(cheesey things are useful, and crackers and cream cheese, that kind of thing)
even pasties abs sausage rolls that you can freeze and defrost/cook when you want them.
