Lower back pain and tightening across uterus

What it says in the subject really. Have had lower back pain for two days, only alleviated by sitting on a hard chair (ie not a sofa), very painful lying on my side, standing, walking etc. Thought it was bad posture so have been making an effort to stand correctly the last two days, but no difference. Today I have started gettint what feels like Braxton Hicks across my uterus. I'm only just 16 weeks. Anyone had anything similar?

See your midwife. You may have any number of things ranging from PGP, via trapped nerve, all the way to UTI.

Google round ligament pain too as I get this and it caused odd tightening sensations.

Yep, the mw I saw this morning thought it was ligament pain, advised the Alexander Technique and a support belt.

Glad you have a reason for it. Here you can self refer to a pregnancy physio who could help you with more exercises. I saw one when pregnant with dd and it made a huge difference.

I would love to see a pregnancy physio. Instead I'm gonna take some pregnanct exercise classes that are supposed to help stengthen muscles in order to avoid this kind of pain.
