Am 25 weeks pregnant with DD2 have lupus (SLE) which is usually quiet and controlled with drugs.
Have had a cold virus for several days which sometimes makes me feel a bit achy in the joints but the last two days I have actually been limping and unable to hold my weight on my right hip. The pain is deep inside the hip rather than in the groin or sacrum regions which I would associate with SPD/PGP or whatever they call it these days, and its only on one side. Anyone else got pregnancy related hip pain on one side only? It's not really in my pelvis, definitely the hip.
So...do I see MW and talk about PGP or GP and discuss flare of the lupus or wait it out and see if it clears up by itself when virus has worked its way out?
Am reluctant to see doc as went before Easter as I felt really tired and out of breath (anaemic I thought) and ended up in DAU having chest x-rays, echocardiagrams, ECGs and loads of blood tests. Wish to keep a low medical profile for a while!
Will be really peed off if this is a flare up, managed whole of first pregnancy with no problems. Already having to tell DD1 I can't pick her up so much due to the burgeoning bump, now add, mummy can't pick you up at all because her hip hurts. Poor child will forever associate pregnancy with incapacity.
