I was wondering if anyone can offer any advice.
I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. 3 weeks ago I went on holiday and on day 2 developed diarrhea which is STILL ongoing. I have been to the docs and all tests have come back normal for bacteria etc but he has put me on antibiotics anyway to see if they clear it (so far no joy) I actually feel fine, lots of energy with no sickness or pain etc but I am going out of my mind with worry for the baby as it has been going on SO long with no sign of getting better.
Anyone experinced anything similar or have any advice?
Thanks so much

When I was pregnant I had every bug going and my digestive system was all over the place. I was always on the loo in one way or another. In my unmedical profession opinion if you feel fine along side the diarreah you are fine and probably worrying is exacerbating it (sorry I hate it when people say that to me but tis true).

Is it full on diareah or just runny poos. I am not suggesting you are exaggerating but just remember that there is a difference.

I wish i could spell diarreah!

Thanks for your response. Sorry for the tmi but sometimes it is very watery and full on and sometimes runny. Either way never anywhere near what is normal for me. About an hour after I eat I can hear the gurgling starting..

I don't know MrsL but my experience of pregnancy was that I was borrowing someone else's body. I hope you get some resolution soon

a close friend of mine had terribly lose bowels early in pregnancy. she had a lot of relief from acupuncture - your digestive system can become more sensitive when pg, might be a bit of irritable bowel? check with your MW but might be worth trying a pro-biotic drink.
