Hey guys. Moan alert.
I am now 8 days overdue. First baby. I'm 38.
I am the size of Downton Abbey. Including the servants. (My bump is 52 inches in circumference for pete's sake! I was a size 10/12 9 months ago...)
If I get 2 hours sleep in a row, I am chuffed. My ankles belong to someone else, someone puffy and old. I particularly enjoy having a moment's notice to go for a wee, then finding the 'bursting' feeling is a tiny trickle enough to barely fill a teaspoon. (For the avoidance of any doubt, this is a guess, I have not actually measured...)
I have been lucky enough to have a midwife who supports my desire not to be induced at the drop of a hat. So they are leaving me be until I am 42 weeks, when they will test the living daylights out of me.
However, I am finding it very difficult to keep myself motivated and happy during what feels like the longest wait for a bus ever.
I 'think' I had a couple of twinges yesterday; felt like period pain. But nothing since. I feel sick on and off, but have done so for about a week.
Please. Send me some kind of encouragement before I go completely mad, or eat another packet of Oreo cookies.
xx
